Internships

SANEC, the springboard to your international career

Students who are looking for a dynamic internship in an international environment, are invited to introduce themselves to us. SANEC offers two permanent internship positions at both offices that generally run from February to July and from September to January.

What do we offer?
If you are looking for a challenge, you are at the right place. Our interns work in a small and very motivated team, where taking initiative and creative thinking is encouraged. In other words, an internship at the Southern African Netherlands Chamber of Commerce, at the Netherlands office in The Hague or at the South African office in Johannesburg, will be a worthwhile experience.

We offer two permanent internship positions at both offices; Junior Project Manager and Junior Events & Marketing Manager. Though you will also be working on the same projects, each position focuses on certain day-to-day activities.
 

• As a Jr. Project Manager, you will mainly assist the SANEC team with:

Planning, coordination and organisation of large collective trade missions and individual matchmaking programmes (visits of Dutch companies to Southern Africa and vice versa, in order to develop international business activities) Assisting in writing market research reports Dealing with the various day-to-day trade enquiries. 

• As a Jr. Events & Marketing Manager, you will mainly assist the SANEC team with:


Planning, coordination and organisation of networking events, like the SANEC Trade and Investment Gala Dinner, the South African Business Golf Event, business lunches, cocktail receptions and seminars/workshops Writing, editing and publishing SANEC publications, such as the SANEC Business Directory (yearly publication) and the SANEC Newsflash (digital newsletter).

Talents & experience
Are you an assertive and international orientated person, who has a professional appearance and has an affinity with marketing, management and communication? Accurate, diplomatic, service and people orientated ‘bridge’ between the different relations of the Chamber; a professional person, in presentation and content? Flexible, have good command of English and Dutch, be a team worker although at times be very independent and capable of working on your own?
