SAIREC 2015 is an international conference dedicated exclusively to renewables.

 

In October 2015, South Africa will become the sixth country, and the first in Africa, to host the International Renewable Energy Conference (IREC). Convened by REN21, IREC is a high-level political conference series hosted by a national government. SAIREC 2015 builds on the success and outcomes of the previous events: Bonn, Germany (2004), Beijing, China (2005), Washington, USA (2008), Delhi, India (2010), Abu Dhabi, UAE (2013).

 

Conference Prospectus Who should attend?

The event is for government ministers, high-level decision makers, experts, specialists and thought leaders, as well as private sector players and civil society to discuss and exchange their vision, experiences, and solutions to accelerate the global scale-up of renewable energy. SAIREC 2015 will provide a platform to address energy security and access. Under the RE-energising Africa, SAIREC will demonstrate why Africa is the business destination for the renewables energy sector.

How can I attend?

How do I apply to host a side event?

The submission for side events has been closed. The deadline for submissions was 29 May, 2015. However, you can still book exhibition space. The exhibition at SAIREC 2015 provides a unique opportunity for organisations to promote their products and services to international decision makers and influencers in the renewable energy sector from around the world. Who are the organisers?

SAIREC 2015 is organised by the Department of Energy and SANEDI—under the overall guidance of the Government of the Republic of South Africa—and in cooperation with REN21.
