SANEC invites you to the SANEC Knowledge Tour 2016 to be held at the PwC offices in Rotterdam on the 11^thof May 2016. This years Knowledge Tour will deal with an important topic which all Businesses need to deal with when trading and exploring opportunities in Southern Africa: Investment Platform for investment and Business opportunities in SADC Region - International Tax rules and regulations. The Knowledge Tour will introduce you to challenges, success factors and insight tools you will find beneficial for understanding the business environment in the SADC Region, focusing on examples from commercial activities in South Africa.

 

Mr. Albert Elzinga (Director, Africa Desk at PwC),  and our Member Tax experts; Mr. Jens Langendorff(Langerdorff Tax Consultancy) and Mr. Dieter Prinsloo (Arch Legal Management) who together combine years of Taxation, international and national legal matters for clients looking to enter international Markets as well as present consultancy and advisory  expertise that can benefit all looking to do business in the mentioned region .

 
The presentations will focus on topics such as BBBEE (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment) and its implications for you to do business in South Africa; With-holding tax and repatriation planning; Managing global tax rate and tax positions, New developments in laws and regulations affecting businesses in the South African region, how to set up business in South Africa and the Netherlands Export expenses (exemplified case study: South African companies looking to invest in europe and looking at the Netherlands as a safe tax haven. We will also have a Dutch company as a success factor to present on their activities in South Africa to offer an interpretation on their business activities.

Mr. Erik Kleine, Current Director Business Development at VOPAK EMEA B.V and former Managing Director at VOPAK South Africa, will be doing a presentation on the success, opportunities and challenges present whilst doing business in South Africa. He will elaborate on VOPAKs activities in Durban and touch upon subjects such as BBBEE, etc.
 
The SANEC Knowledge Tour will be followed by our a Business Cocktail sponsored by our board member, Price Waterhouse Cooper. This is a great opportunity to network, meet new members and of course expand your business contacts.
