SANEC; Southern African Netherlands Chamber of Commerce is the central link for companies, organisations and entrepreneurs doing or seeking to do business between the Netherlands, South Africa and the Southern African region.

Our aim is to foster business relations, stimulate and facilitate exports, imports, outsourcing, business tourism and foreign direct investments between South(ern) Africa and the Netherlands, thus accelerating sustainable economic growth.

In order to achieve this goal, we establish business links by organising trade missions and individual matchmaking visits, but also by hosting networking events, such as Trade & Investment Dinners and Meet & Greet Cocktail Receptions. In addition SANEC supplies up-to-date trade and investment information on the different countries, through the organisation of seminars, workshops and business forums, by conducting market research and through our different publications.

Doing an internship at SANEC means working in an international dynamic environment, where you can learn a lot. There will be plenty of challenges. You work in a small and very motivated team, where own initiative and creative thinking is encouraged. In other words, the internship period at the Southern African Netherlands Chamber of Commerce, at the Netherlands office in The Hague or at the South African office will be a worthwhile experience.

We offer two permanent internship positions; Jr. Project Manager and Jr. Events & Marketing Manager. Though you will also be working on the same projects, each position focuses on certain day-to-day activities.
 
As a Jr. Project Manager, you will mainly assist the SANEC team with:
- Planning, coordination and organization of large collective trade missions and individual matchmaking programmes (visits of Dutch companies to Southern Africa and vice versa, in order to develop international business activities).
- Assisting in writing market research reports.
- Dealing with the various day-to-day trade enquiries. 

As a Jr. Events & Marketing Manager, you will mainly assist the SANEC team with:
- Planning, coordination and organisation of networking events, like the SANEC Trade and Investment Gala Dinner, the South African Business Golf Event, business lunches, cocktail receptions and seminars/workshops.
- Writing, editing and publishing SANEC publications, like the SANEC Business Directory (yearly publication) and the SANEC Newsflash (digital newsletter).

>| Who are we looking for?

You must be an assertive and international oriented person, who has a professional appearance and has an affinity for marketing, management and communication. We are looking for an accurate, diplomatic, service and people oriented "bridge" between the different relations of the Chamber; a person professional, in presentation and content.

You must be flexible, have good command of English and Dutch, be a team worker although at times be very independent and capable of working on your own.
