ICCO has opened regional office for Africa in Pretoria!

On 19 September, the Dutch international development NGO ICCO, has officially opened their regional office for Africa in Pretoria. During the opening celebrations, Ambassador Haspels assisted ICCO's Director Wim Hart to cut the ribbon to symbolically open the office.

Gerrit de Vries, the head of ICCO's regional office, unwrapped a painting of an African Arc of Noah, a gift from ICCO's Head Office in The Hague.

To celebrate the opening of ICCO’s new regional office for Africa in Pretoria, ICCO/Kerk-in-Actie hosted a seminar focused on ‘how can companies and NGOs successfully achieve profit and social impact?’.

Speakers at the seminar included Dr. Vuyo Mahlati, President of the International Women’s Forum South Africa and Litha Kutta from South African retail giant Woolworths.

Supporting entrepreneurship, equity and civil rights, in particular in agriculture is ICCO's main focus in this region. ICCO is funded partly by the Dutch government in the framework of its co-financing (of NGO's) system, called MFS.
