AFRICAN
UTILITY
WEEK
2016

The Netherlands Consulate General in Cape Town and the Dutch Climate Solutions project, in collaboration with Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP), the Southern African – Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (SANEC) and Netherlands Agro, Food and Technology Centers (NAFTC), would like to invite you to join the Holland Activities and Pavilion at the African Utility Week (AUW), showcasing Dutch capabilities on the water-energy-food nexus.

African Utility Week | 17-20 May 2016 | Cape Town International Convention Centre

All over Africa, utilities are facing huge challenges in terms of (future) availability of energy, food and water. Agricultural food production and energy production are by far the biggest water users. Continued growth in Africa requires more water for food, for energy and for drinking water supply.

The Dutch are renowned in operational excellence in (drinking and industrial) water supply and treatment, clean tech technologies and research and policy consultancy with a large track record of assisting African utilities. Furthermore, the Dutch have blended participatory approaches with innovative technologies and partnerships to provide sustainable agro, energy and water solutions for the competing water claims of the future in Africa.
