Swinging SANEC Gala by the sea, 29 November 2012

Date: 29-11-2012

Location: Noordwijk at Sea / the Netherlands

The annual SANEC Trade & Investment Gala was a swinging affair! Over 200 guests celebrated ‘20 years of Boosting Business with South(ern) Africa’ at the Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk at Sea. Top level South (ern) African and Dutch representatives from either the government or the business sector were served the finest food from Europe and wine from South Africa while enjoying the lively performances of the Soweto Spiritual Singers and Ruth Jacott.

The celebration speech and a celebration note were given by Mr Bernard Wientjes, chairman of VNO-NCW and Honorary MEC of the Gauteng Province in South Africa Nkosiphendule Kolisile, who expressed his genuine thanks for the warm welcome in the Netherlands.

The evening was presented by Frits Huffnagel, who interviewed a number of special guests during the evening. In between Mr John Loudon presented his story of the Peace Park Foundation. Guests enjoyed a short film screening over this fantastic project where nature parks are being developed in eleven different countries worldwide. The messages of ‘business without borders’ fitted the picture perfectly.

And as a good gala dinner is supposed to end… The dancing started once the delicious desert was finished and the joy continued, accompanied by swinging tunes.
