Walvis Bay Corridor Diner in Johannesburg

On the 8th of October SANEC attended a business dinner organised by the Walvis Bay Corridor Group. At the event presentations were held on the current status of the Port of Walvis Bay and its Corridors. The theme, “Developing Namibia as a logistics hub for the SADC countries” was communicated by various presentations; Walvis Bay as an alternative trade route, the successes of Namport and the TransKalahari Corridor, and a success story about the Basil Read Logistics on their St. Helena Airport Project. The planning of the port and upcoming projects were discussed in detail, with emphasis on the need for investments for the future endeavours of the Walvis Bay Corridor Group.
