Welcome to ChemExpo Africa – a new trade event for a new economy. ChemExpo Africa is a new trade event designed to connect buyers, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and end-users from a wealth of chemical-related product and service sectors.       

 

The South African chemical industry is the largest of its kind in Africa and has been identified by the government as a key driver of economic growth.

 

The industry dominates manufacturing in South Africa, adding more value to the economy than any other sector and accounting for over half the jobs created by manufacturing as a whole.

 

Local chemical exports have been growing at a significant rate since 1999 compared to other industries. South Africa exports significant quantities of raw feedstock, however with local processing largely untapped this offers potentially lucrative returns for innovative organisations that can act upon this opportunity.
