SANEC Impact Investment Knowledge Tour event & Members in Business Cocktail

Date: 27-11-2014

Location: Delfgauw / The Netherlands

Thursday 27 November 2014, International Innovation Company, Delfgauw

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a core subject in international business. Meeting this needs, SANEC has analysed CSR practices of 50 private members that are active in Southern Africa. The gathered insights resulted for example in the SANEC Knowledge Tour on Sustainable Business. This Tour was hosted by Bernd Schneider, CEO of International Innovation Company and also known from the television programme ´Beste Idee van Nederland´.

SANEC members from business and NGO´s gathered to learn how sustainable activities and private business can come together in a profitable way. After a warm word of welcome by Bernd Schneider, first Prof. Dr. Steef Peters shared his knowledge about ´developing talent into economic result´. This short and interesting college was followed by an interactive presentation of International Guidelines and several best practices of private companies who experienced that CSR can intertwine with profit.

Finally, SANEC presented the idea of strengthening individual social investments in Southern Africa by bringing various existing initiatives together. For that purpose, the creation of an Impact Investment Fund, set-up and operated by SANEC and partners, will be materialized in 2015. The presentation ended in a very interesting and interactive discussion. SANEC will actively further develop this initiative with SANEC members and for SANEC members.
